Secondary English

Primary Purpose:

  1. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

  2. Provide instruction and coach students to develop skills and ability to excel in Football. Contribute to the education program as a whole and growth of students involved in Boys’ athletics.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
    Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)

  • Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned

    Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures

  • Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules

  • Ability to instruct and supervise student-athletes

  • Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data

  • Ability to manage budget and personnel and coordinate district function

  • Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Reports can be made at any time and by any person, including during non-business hours, by mail, phone, or email. During district business hours, reports may also be made in person. Upon the district receiving notice or an allegation of sex-based harassment, the Title IX Coordinator will promptly respond in accordance with the process described at FFH(LOCAL).
