Never underestimate the value of an education. Statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau confirm the economic benefits to individuals of formal education:

  • High school dropouts were earning in 2017 an average of $21,421 annually.
  • High school graduates earned an average of $31,286.
  • Those with bachelor’s degrees earned an average of $57,181.
  • Individuals with master’s degrees had an average income of $70,186.
  • Those with professional degrees earned $120,978.

We must make the investment now for our children, who will, in turn, ensure our future.

It was a great week for Coyote football. Both the junior high Coyotes and the junior varsity Coyotes came away with victories over the Austin Royals teams. It was a cool, picture-perfect autumn night with a beautiful sunset. The junior high cheerleaders had an outstanding performance at the pep rally and game. The junior high team will play Zephyr at Zephyr this Thursday at 5:00 p.m. A Homecoming bonfire will be part of the Homecoming activities this week and will occur Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in the athletic parking lot. The junior varsity Coyotes will host Fort Worth THESA at 5:30 p.m. Friday, followed by the varsity game at 7:30 p.m.

We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It looks to be a great year at Richland Springs.

Community involvement is the key to our success!
