Coyote Pride

Students and staff returned to school on Tuesday, September 4th after an extended Labor Day Weekend. Hopefully the hot temperatures will subside as we move into fall.

Parents of students in grades 7-12 are urged to sign drug test permission forms and return them to school as soon as possible. The only way the school can test students with a urinalysis is with both student and parent permission. Contact the principal’s office if you need any further information. Help keep our students drug free!

The varsity Coyotes started off the year with a road trip to May and met a solid team in the May Tigers. It was a game in which the Coyotes trailed the entire game.  The Coyotes lost their opener by a score of 40-26. The junior varsity Coyotes lost at home this past Thursday to the May JV by a score of 46-0.The varsity Coyotes travel to San Marcos this Friday take on San Marcos Hill Country.

Parent and Grandparent involvement is crucial to student success. This Friday we would like to recognize all grandparents! Each year we have a Grandparents’ Day Meal. This Friday, September 7 all grandparents are invited to attend lunch with their grandchildren at Richland Springs. The cafeteria staff will serve a delicious meal (Baked potato with chili, broccoli, cheese, milk, and strawberry short cake). The cost for the meal will be $4.25. We appreciate everything grandparents do to make school exciting and fun for their grandchildren.

RICHLAND SPRINGS ISD Schedules Site-base Meeting

Both experience and research tell us that a child’s education succeeds best when there is good communication and a strong partnership between home and school. Your involvement in this partnership is a key to student success!

Refreshments will be provided at the meeting. Parents and students attending the meeting receive free passes to the varsity football game at Coyote Field beginning at 7:30 the same evening.
