Coyote Pride

Summer is winding down. We will soon embark on the 2017-2018 school year at Richland Springs ISD in a few short weeks, and we are eager to welcome our students and family back. The beginning of a new school year is an exciting time. This is our chance to renew our vision for the school year. The staff and students at Richland ISD will most definitely begin this school year with goals, which will vary from one individual to the next. As we strive to achieve these goals, know that they all share common elements. We must work hard to achieve the goals we set out for ourselves and we must believe in our vision.

As a district, our goals concentrate on four priorities. The first goal is to provide a safe learning environment, which allows for academic excellence. We have high expectations for the students and staff and understand the efforts this entails. When we believe in the vision we have set before us, every step we take to get there is significant.

Our second goal is in the area of fiscal and resource management. School finance is widely discussed across the state of Texas. As we look at our fiscal resources, we know that we must be conservative and spend wisely. In doing so, we will provide the educational programming that will allow our students to achieve excellence.

The third goal is to enhance family, school and community relationships, partnerships and communication. As a small school district and community, positive working relationships are essential. The key to improving relationships and partnerships is transparency in our communication. We vow to be honest, responsible and accountable in all methods of communication.

Our last goal is to maintain and improve our facilities.

As we channel our efforts toward individual student success, we must take pride in everything that is Richland Springs ISD. Our buildings are much more that bricks and mortar, they are where success is established and memories are made. Our extracurricular venues are where teamwork and leadership is instilled in our students. The years spent inside our school facilities help shape our students into young adults. As we move forward with determination, our efforts are channeled towards student success. Time waits for no one, so our commitment to our students does not end.

It is with great pride that we look forward to our upcoming school year. We welcome the opportunity to visit with you in the future. Thank you for your continued support, as we all work together to make Richland Springs ISD the premier small school district in Texas.
