Coyote Pride

Spring is always a busy time for staff and students and parents. Traveling and participating in events such as UIL basketball, UIL track, UIL golf, UIL academics, UIL One Act plays and assorted meetings seems to leave little free time.

Congratulations to the Varsity Lady Coyotes on a great basketball season. Their post-season ended as they came up a little short in the regional quarterfinal game to a good Garden City squad.

The varsity boys had a tall job as they played Water Valley in the area round last Friday night at Coleman Gym. Water Valley had a 6’6” post. The varsity boys started out hot and had a good lead, but Water Valley whittled down the Coyote lead and led in the 4th period. With several lead changes in the game, the final score was 48-45 in favor of the Coyotes. Congratulations on a great effort! The varsity boys played in the regional quarterfinals round this Tuesday at 6:30 at Brownwood ISD gym against the May Tigers.

Attendance is important! Encourage your child to be at school every day. Please try to schedule doctor’s appointments after school if possible. Good attendance is so important to student success. Please urge your child to be at school each and every day. If you desire a conference, please schedule a conference time with your child’s teacher. Parent involvement is important! Get involved in your child’s education.

If you see a teacher, a coach, or a staff member, tell them how much you appreciate their efforts. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff.
