Coyote Pride

Last Friday ended the 3rd week of the 4th six-week grading period. Student notices of concern will be mailed this week.

The Lady Coyotes are 8-1 in district play and are in sole position of 1st place in the district race. The varsity boys are 6-1 in district play are currently in a 3-way tie for first place in the district race. Both varsity teams control their destinies in the district races. The varsity Coyote teams host Eden on Tuesday and Lohn on Friday this week.  The junior high teams traveled to Eden on Monday for games beginning at 6 p.m. Come to the games and watch our young athletes.

As the hours of daylight increase, this means that spring sports are on the horizon. You seem to have some warm days for practice, but the first golf tournaments and track meets always seems to be cold days with blustery winds. Spring also brings high school academic meets and travel for UIL One Act Play and other academic competitions. UIL athletics and UIL academics both play an important role for students. Students must pass all classes to be eligible to compete in either UIL athletic events or UIL academic events.

It’s great to see our community supporting students in their efforts to achieve. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It takes everyone working together to achieve success.

Community involvement is the key to success
